We are looking for community partners who are willing to work with us in creative ways to help individuals exit life on the streets. Often, we have to convince someone to get help that they don’t think they need and have to incentivize the transition. Vehicles to transport people, ability to place someone temporarily into a motel room while transitioning into a treatment facility, gift cards for fast food and groceries, clothing items, socks and shoes. When we are able to connect and individual to treatment, the transition period into a permanent housing solution is especially challenging and requires creative solutions such as ability to obtain transitional housing such as room for rent and ability to earn a nominal amount of funds such as an entry level part-time position with an employer that empathizes with the individual’s situation.
